## Why it works for elegant events

The vibraphone combines percussion and melody. Rich, warm sound fills space like air — a single note or a full chord — without forcing conversation to stop. Guests hear elegance without fighting the room.

Tim has played professionally since 1979. Paired with live Great American Songbook vocals: sophisticated without stiff, polished, low-key, unmistakably live. No tracks. No loops. Mallets, voice, and hand-picked DFW musicians.

## The instrument

Aluminum bars like a piano keyboard, resonators beneath, motor-driven fans for signature shimmer/vibrato. Soft mallets; Tim uses **four mallets** for rich harmony plus melody and vocals in the same moment.

Lineage: Lionel Hampton (big band), Milt Jackson / MJQ (modern ballad language), Gary Burton (four-mallet vocabulary). That elegant, melodic, live tradition is what Tim brings to cocktail hours, dinners, and private rooms across DFW.
